Metaverse Law has an exciting fellowship opportunity for recent law school graduates and early-career attorneys. We are looking for tech-savvy and self-motivated attorneys with excellent research, writing and puzzle-solving skills to work at a cutting-edge law and technology practice. Fellows must have strong ethical principles, collaborate well with teams, and be able to decipher and ELI5 inscrutable text. 

We offer an entrepreneurial and flexible environment. Successful candidates will be fully remote, with the option of the firm covering expenses for a co-working space local to the candidate depending on location. We believe in life-work balance and offer reduced billable requirements (1,200 hours). The Fellowship is a 12-month position beginning in early 2027 and following the 12-month term, Fellows may be invited to join Metaverse Law as a full-time attorney eligible for bonuses/origination credit, or receive guidance and advice on other placements in data privacy, AI and technology.

We serve clients across various industries, including global cloud and SAAS products, chatbots and generative AI, healthcare IT and wellness, biometrics and wearables, fintech and Insurtech, and e-commerce and gaming. Even while emerging technologies and new data protection laws increase the complexity of our clients’ governance, risk, and compliance obligations, Metaverse Law’s attorneys emphasize practical solutions for today’s innovative digital businesses.

Fellow Requirements

• Must be actively licensed to practice law in the United States, with preference for candidates eligible to practice in California;
• Demonstrated interest in firm’s practice areas through courses, articles, speaking engagements, leadership positions and/or prior internships and job experience;
• Excellent writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills;
• Strong ethical code, team player, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Preference for demonstrated interest or experience in one or more of the following domains: healthcare, biometrics, fintech, agentic AI, or children’s privacy;
• Preference for Certified Information Privacy Professionals (CIPP/E or CIPP/US or CIPP/A) or IT/forensic/security/AI certifications (GCFA, CEH, CISA, AIGP); 
• Preference for candidates with volunteer and pro bono experience; and,
• Has a life and hobbies outside of work. 

Compensation is $110-$120k base salary DOE. Competitive health insurance and 401k plus employer match.
